Need a Ride?
GOSHEN, INDIANA – New York, California, Florida, New Mexico…From across the nation, Gulf Stream RV owners came to this fun luncheon/auction at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds in Goshen, Indiana. The entire Foundation team came to hear me speak to this great group of ladies. What a fun day at an amazing location! The most amazing RV’s we have ever seen were on display and available for purchase (View more photos). Perhaps for Foundation road trips...

Got the Rock
FORT WAYNE, INDIANA - Nearly 400 people attended the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) Indiana District Convention this past weekend. The theme of the event was "Got the Rock" to inspire, energize and empower women to continue acts of service. I was invited to give the keynote address during Saturday evening's dinner. What an honor to be a part of such a great event! At the dinner there were more than 35 breast cancer survivors, one of whom was still in the middle of her cancer treatments. I will be traveling to the LWML Convention in Portland, Oregon, next Spring to speak to an even larger group. I couldn’t be more excited to see this great group of women again!

Pink Power
ZIONSVILLE, INDIANA – While you can usually find the Zionsville girls tennis team near the top of the state rankings, there are other things more dear to their hearts. After meeting with me and Vera Bradley co-founder Patricia R. Miller in March, they decided to ‘adopt’ the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer and dedicate their entire season’s fund raising efforts to the cause. (Here they are sporting their Pinwheel Pink Totes during their visit.) With the pink cupcakes they sold at home tennis matches, these girls ranked very high in donor scoring!
My son Noah and I stopped by to send them off to the state tennis finals with big cheers and best wishes. Congratulations, Coach Pat and girls for your great accomplishment at state and for being such great philanthropists – you are in inspiration to us all! (See their story in the June issue of High School Sports magazine.
