FORT WAYNE, INDIANA - Last year the Fort Wayne Wizards baseball team helped the Foundation raise more than $3,000 by wearing pink jerseys at a game and auctioning them off. It was a sight to see to say the least, and the fans absolutely loved it! The event was such a hit that we're once again teaming up with the Wizards for another fun-filled night. On August 15th the men will pull on their special pink jerseys as they take on the South Bend Silver Hawks and play ball for breast cancer research (Event Invitation). We'll be raffling and auctioning off the jerseys during the game, and afterwards the lucky winners will get a chance to meet the players and have their jerseys signed. If you're in the Fort Wayne area for the game, please join us. I'll be at the Foundation's table, so stop by to say hi and bid on a jersey. Stay tuned for an update and photos!

I'm happy to announce that the The Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer now has a Facebook Page, where you can connect with other people who support the cause, post photos and videos, leave messages for us, or simply stop by to show your support. You can also flip through photo albums of past events, like the annual Vera Bradley Foundation Classic Golf and Tennis Tournament and Turn the Town Pink, and get more info about upcoming events as well. I recently signed up for Twitter (FollowHeidi), too. Talk about staying totally connected.

MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE - The AMAZING staff of Vera Bradley at Saddle Creek in Memphis really knows how to throw a fabulous Foundation party! (See photos.) I joined them for their Think Pink fund raiser (other retailers have been hosting similar events, too). The catering was spectacular; the atmosphere, wonderful. The evening was made even more poignant by the attendance of a group of cancer survivors from nearby Jones Clinic. All goals for this great event were exceeded beyond all expectations, and 50% of proceeds went to benefit the Foundation. Thanks so much to all who helped make this possible!
