Fort Wayne (Indiana) Wizards
FORT WAYNE, INDIANA - The Fort Wayne Wizards “pitched” in to promote breast cancer awareness and raise funds for the Foundation by donning pink jerseys for their double header against the South Bend Silver Hawks. Fans were encouraged to bid in a silent auction for their favorite player’s jersey. In all, the Wizards raised, $3,020.00 for the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. The response from Wizards fans and family was amazing,” said General Manager Mike Nutter. “The Vera Bradley Foundation is a great organization to work with, and we were extremely pleased to help them in their effort for breast cancer research.”
